Today I felt the strong need to write but I didn’t
know what. I have typed and retyped and retyped until it came to me.
In the process of wondering I went back to my old
post {Heart and soul} and that just brought
me to a place of mixed feelings. A place of sadness and both joy. I got sad
because I could very easily remember how I felt at the time of writing
that blog post and my state of mind contrary, I was happy because I saw
God’s faithfulness and how he brought me out of that place.
I was going to write about loving one another
through caring but now I see this going a whole other direction. The slow fade
of a believer.
This brings me back to casing crowns slow fade.
How did I get to the point I was at? Where I felt
like my connection with God was not there. A place where I felt enslaved and
like God had left me completely. Where I was dying from condemnation.
Simple: Compromise after compromise after compromise…
This brings me to:
Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
AMP VERSION: Psa
1:1 Blessed (Happy, fortunate, prosperous and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel
of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands
[submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to
relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
Verse Break down >> >
Man that doesn’t walk in the counsel
of the ungodly.
2Co 6:14 Be ye not
unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with
darkness?
When you start hanging out with the wrong crowd you
find yourself drifting further away from God because you are not thinking along
the same lines. Your values are different from a non-believer. Hard or soft
that’s just true and because of that you will find yourself slowly tripping and
justifying all the actions you do that don’t Glorify God. Ask yourself this:
Amo
3:3 Can two walk together, except
they be agreed?
#SELAH
Or stands in the way of sinners (nor
stands [submissive and inactive]
in the path where sinners walk)
The problem with this is that not only does your action affect you but it also
affects other people who are struggling with sin. You become a stumbling block
to them
Or seated in the seat of the scornful.
As the amplified
Bible puts it:
Nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
This is the trend . You start walking
with the wrong people>> you stand in the way of sinners>> finally
you sit in the counsel of the wicked… the slow fade process.
This shows how you don’t fall just once
but gradually blinded up until you reach that place where you are like “how did
I get here???”
The gradual fade that happened to me so fast
hand it is something I defiantly would not want to happen to anyone because
rock bottom in your Christian walk is the worst place to be. So if you know
this is where you are just retaliate and run to you father he will never chase
you away and if you think your standing just be careful you don’t fall.
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth
take heed lest he fall.
Don’t give up no matter what
#keep smiling
